Dogs are integrally aggressive beings and are actually capable of causing serious harm both to dogs and humans alike. Being that aggressive is quite understandable because wild dogs need to defend themselves from other creatures, defend their territory, food and mate. They also need to hunt in order to survive. Over time, dogs have been tamed and have even been proclaimed as man s best friend. But some dogs may become more dangerous and aggressive if they lack behaviour training. The two main types of aggression in dogs are aggressiveness towards strangers or even family members as well. They primarily become like that because of fear, nervousness or even insecurity. These dogs bark, bite and snap when they are at that particular state. These dogs also become a lot more protective or possessive of their property. This certain property can possibly be a family member, your house, its toy or food. Dogs that are this protective can even prevent your home from being robbed.
There are dogs which are aggressive because of they possess a dominant personality. If a dog has that trait, it will feel that it is the dominant one in that particular area. This is not really that common to dogs but statistics have shown that this kind of aggressive behaviour applies only to specific breeds of dogs.
